Mister Rogers

“Whether we're a preschooler or a young teen, a graduating college senior or a retired person, we human beings all want to know that we're acceptable, that our being alive somehow makes a difference in the lives of others.”
Fred Rogers, The World According to Mister Rogers: Important Things to Remember

  1. Valerie this quote is amazing!!!!!! I remember watching Mr. Rogers as a child but as I grew older I forgot all about him. That being said, I never realized how important he was to the early childhood. This quote is not jut an everyday quote, this quote reaches the heart of how people really feel. As I was reading it, All I could think is "Yep that's exactly right."

    1. Mister Rogers said so many amazing and inspiring quotes. This one though is perfect for the child care setting, because we are constantly encountering many different types of people. While in the setting if we keep in mind that we can learn from anyone at any time it would help maintain a positive atmosphere. I think I might even post this in my office!

  3. Hi Val,

Yes, all children would love to be accepted in society but, we have those that make them feel very small. That's why I believe in helping all children to be self -confident and not all anyone to lower their self - esteem. That quote truly spoke to me and I'm glad to be the Woman that I Am today.

All your quotes were right on time!!
    Great Postings!!!
