Professional Hopes and Goals

There are a couple of careers that I really would love to take on as I have been seeking for answers through the Perspectives on Diversity and Equity course. Becoming an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist or Infant therapist is very close to my heart. I really want to take time to get to know the families and children as we work together to create the best developmental outcome for the child. I also want to help parents understand their child's cues , that their silent language is still a language, then I want to the parents to feel empowered to make wise decisions about their child's rights as all of the facts and resources are presented to them,  I would also love to teacher early childhood education at a community college. Image result for baby To you my classmates, this course has been very emotional for me, and to read your backgrounds with many highs and lows, I thank you for sharing. I hope my words have supported you for the last eight weeks. My hope for you (as I  speak to myself as well) is that we take risk for the "great" cause and that we truly work where our hearts have a desire to be , that is my prayer!

    I have enjoyed the discussions and reading the your insights on this topic over the past eight weeks as well. I appreciate you for sharing your stories and experiences. We share a common goal to teach in a community college. I think that this course has been vary valuable and unlike any other course that I have had in the past.     I have enjoyed reading your topic, I think what you are wanting to do with parents, teaching them the silent language of infants is very important. I also agree keep you heart in whatever your desire is, because it will take you places you never dream.

    Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist or Infant therapist are very admiral jobs. I am not sure I could do either. It would break my heart. I am sure that you would be great at anything you choose to do. I wish you all the best.
