  1. Valerie, your picks of NAEYC and Zero to Three are two great well known organizations at the National level and for the education field. Working for either of these organizations would be a great experience for anyone. I can just imagine the level of work and the contacts you would make being a member of these organizations. They have high expectations for helping to build and fight for quality educations for young children. Yes I can see why you would be nervous initially, but just imagine all the knowledge and experience you would learn being there and working with such a diverse group of people. I think you would do very well there.

  2. Valerie,
The Zero to Three position sounds fantastic! I fully support your decision to reach out to the hiring committee. Don't be discouraged by the posting date of the position. Often it can take awhile for an organization to find the right person or they may hold all candidates until the application period expires before beginning interviews. You may bring just what they are looking for a fresh and energized professional who is up to date on the most recent practices in the field as a new graduate of a master's program. If nothing else consider it an opportunity to brush up on your interview skills and an opportunity to make a good impression. As you said you never know where it could lead.Good luck!
